Ed, W2KP after making 415 CW Contacts!
The Field Day Chairman this year, once again, was Lou, KA2NTT. We operated from the Canale Training Center on English Creek Ave. in Egg Harbor Township. There were 27 members and guests who attended the event. Thanks to everyone who assisted before during and after the event.
Notable accomplishments included the performance of the PSK31 station which was manned by Howard, KC2TYZ along with George, KC2WTG and Bob, W2ARP. Last year the PSK station made a club record 150 contacts and this year the total went up to 171. Tom, AB2KP, with his 6 meter station, made 13 contacts with Stan WA2JMV adding 3 more 6 meter contacts for a total of 16. This year Tom was able to get his dipole up about 35' in the air by using a portable telescoping antenna mast provided by John Miller.
The GOTA station accounted for an additional 120 phone contacts. Nick, KD2AJK, made 100 contacts and John Psota made 20 contacts. Our coaches were Jim, KC2YRV and Lynn, KC2ZJW.
The public information table was manned by Jesse, WA2PRY. The food committee chairperson was Lynn, KC2ZJW. No one went away hungry. Food was also provided by other members including Howard, KC2TYZ.

There were 1360 contacts made (last year 1259 contacts) with the breakdown as follows:

We operated 5F from SNJ with a power multiplier of 2 because all contacts were made using less than 150 watts. CW and digital contacts count for 2 pts. each. Phone contacts are worth 1 pt. each. Therefore our total QSO pts. equal (2 x 681) + (2 x 171) + 508 = 2212. Multiplying 2212 x 2 (our power multiplier) = our claimed score of 4424. To this value we add bonus points for 100% emergency power (500 pts.), media publicity (100 pts.), set-up in public place (100 pts.), information booth (100 pts.), site visit by invited served agency official (100 pts.), W1AW FD message copied (100 pts.), youth participation (20 pts.), educational activity (100 pts.), GOTA bonus (240 pts.) and FD entry submitted via the web (50 pts.). This raises our claimed score to 5834 (last year 5288). The FD message was copied by KB2MN. The breakdown by band was as follows:
